I wanted to lose weight and get fitter but found sport such as netball and running too hard on my body. Walking seemed like the perfect solution.
Walking every day has been an amazing journey of discovery and I’m now what you may call addicted. Rain, hail or shine you can spot me walking around my local area of Warwick (England) listening to podcasts or music, breathing in the fresh air and taking in the scenery. I’ve also been known to drag out my very supportive husband on those cold and dark winter evenings to ensure I hit my steps.
It’s amazing what you see when you walk rather than drive around your local area. The urban landscape is a kaleidoscope of colour, sights and sounds, you just need to slow down to see them!
I’ve also discovered the many health benefits of walking. Regular brisk walking can not only help with your weight and fitness, it can also help to reduce the risk of heart disease and strokes, as well as strengthen your bones and muscles. And as if that’s not enough, it’s also fantastic for your mental health!
I hope my website helps and inspires you to make walking apart of your everyday.
